Welcome – Check our Meeting Programme to see which is the next meeting that you will be available to attend. For a first visit you may enjoy a ‘skill share’ meeting. On skill share days we will be available to help you with equipment, give advice and generally make you feel welcome. Of course you are welcome to come to our formal meetings and enjoy our guest speakers. The cost for a visitor is £4.50 for the day.
We meet at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming, Murton Park, York YO19 5UF. We meet on the third Saturday of the month. Meetings start at 10.30am but members start to arrive from about 10am. We finish at 3pm.
Tea and coffee are available for a 50p contribution. It’s a good idea to bring your own lunch the first time until you find out what food the café is serving and if it is open.
How to join
If you decide you would like to become a member of the Guild the annual subscription is £30. This gives you access to all of our meetings, you can borrow equipment and use the Guild library. Download the membership form below. Completed forms and payment can be handed to the membership secretary during any meeting.
Our membership years runs from 1 April to 31 March. If you join after 1 October you only need to pay £15 for a half year membership.
Find us at local shows
The Guild regularly run demonstrations at local shows. Come along to find out more about weaving, spinning, and dying; and speak with members about our activities.
