Our Meetings

We are delighted to announce that our face to face meetings at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming recommenced on Saturday 21st August 2021 and will hopefully continue to be held on the third Saturday of each month.

We are continuing to hold monthly Zoom meetings every Wednesday evening at 19.00, please see schedule below. These include Guild updates, show and tell and talks from members and external speakers.

New members are very welcome to join us, to obtain a meeting link please e-mail chair.yorkwsd@gmail.com and explain that you would like to join a meeting as a visitor.

The specialist weaving group are also holding extra Zoom meetings as detailed below and the specialist dyeing group are in touch via e-mail.

All Zoom meetings are being recorded and will be made available in our Members Area of the website to watch later should they be not be able to attend on the given date.

2021 Meeting dates on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 14.00 and weekly Wednesday evening meetings are at 19.00 as follows:

Saturday 18th September – Skill Share Meeting: Sue Macniven – Achieving Consistency Workshop & Indigo Dyeing Workshop.

Wednesday 22nd September – Indigo Dyeing follow-up.

Wednesaday 29th September – Sue Macniven Workshop follow-up.

Saturday 16th October – General Meeting & Speaker: Indian Sari’s – Cherry Hardy.

Saturday 20th November – Skill share.

Saturday 4th December – Chistmas Meeting (Please note different Venue).

Weaving Group Zoom Meeting Dates:

The weaving special interest group Zoom meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of the month at 10.30 and then ten days later on the Tuesday evening at 19.00.
